Collabs Are Currency - Mini Cooper X Deus ex Machina Concepts
MINI and Deus ex Machina collaborated on two one-off concept cars, the electric “Skeg” and the gas-powered “The Machina,” showcasing their shared enthusiasm for motorsport and customization.
Collabs are currency. Deus ex Machina has made its name fusing motorcycles with lifestyle, now they’re borrowing MINI’s canvas. Two one-offs: an electric “Skeg” built for beach culture with fiberglass surfboard materials, and a gas-powered bruiser called "The Machina" that throws it back to MINI's rally history. Neither is for sale, both are pure brand theater.

That’s the real move: concept cars aren’t products, they’re billboards in motion. MINI isn’t just flexing design, they’re reminding you the brand still belongs in performance culture, even as it pivots to electric.
If they were for sale, which one would you pick?
