De’Longhi tapped Brad Pitt (longtime face of the brand) and director Taika Waititi for a new spot that just premiered at the Venice Film Festival. The setup: Pitt struggles to nail “Perfetto” while an Italian voiceover critiques his accent, even the dog looks unimpressed.

The machine he’s using? $1,499.95. And the “upgrade” flashed at the end? $1,999.95.

When a coffee machine is this expensive, the ad better be amusing, entertaining, and charming. This one checks the box on all three. It’s a delight to watch, even if you never buy the machine.
